No I'm not happy at the vista -- I just take lousy posed pictures. The white on the ground is ash, not sand. Loki is helping me check it out.

Bill, Bo (the horse), Jolly (the goat), Jan & Steph (petting Jolly) check out the damage -- note the fire came right down to the fence.


Red barn (where Jan lives greathall-style), green grass, black hills. Awesome color contrast.

Unjolly Jolly

Jolly was attacked by a couple of stray dogs about a week ago. He seemed to be healing fine, trotting around and eating hay, but closer examination showed he was more seriously injured than anyone thought.

After a midnight trip to the vet, he's now on serious antibiotics and doing better. And he has a nifty accessory.

Be warned -- some of it is not pretty.

Jolly is now sporting this nifty new harness, courtesy of Ariadne.
